No matter how many new trends and products appear on the market most of us always turn to our tried-and-true beauty tricks. Only the best techniques will stand the test of time, which is why we asked centenarians to share their best beauty advice. After many years of trials and tribulations these ladies have mastered their own beauty routines and have added a few brilliant hacks along the way.
While studies have found that the average makeup routine among females includes 27 steps and takes 40 minutes, we don’t always have the time or energy to spend on getting ready. As a lazy beauty girl myself, I can surely attest to this and so does 104-year-old Helen Jabornik, who came up with her own timesaving beauty shortcuts. One of those timesavers includes wearing a wig: “I was in maybe my late 20s when I decided to get a wig because it saved me time in the morning.” Jabornik kept several wigs for different occasions, which is also a great way to switch up your look without committing to a major hair change. The centenarian’s crafty tricks don’t end there: She also uses her lipstick as blush, which surely saves some space in her makeup bag.
